Comments : This must be one of the best crystalized specimens of tephroite from the Wessels mine that has ever come out. It belonged to the Sid Peters collection of fine minerals. This is an extremely rare mineral that is seldom found in aesthetic crystalized specimens. The color is usually ash gray. Thus unatractive. I do not know if I can call this specimen attractive or aesthetic. It is brownish-red with a dull surface. With the proper backlight you will see that the crystals are a good red color. I can send you sucha picture or I can send more pictures. There is very little damage on any crystals. You might never find a specimen like this again. Location. Wessels mine, Black Rock, Nothern Cape, South Africa.

Ordering instructions

Just write down the item code you are interested in and press down the buy me button. It will open an e-mail page. Write down the item code in the e-mail and tell us where you are writing from and then send us the e-mail and we will get back to you on the freight charge. It differs from one consignment to the next. It is based on quantity and weight. The freight usually do not exceed 10% of the cost of a specimen if you are buying specimens. If you are buying rough we will give you a quote based on the weight and the locality where it must be send to. Feel free to e-mail us with anything that you want to know.

We allocate specimens on a first come basis.  All sold items will only show sold by the next day.
