Crystal system:

Orthorhombic.  Habits include acicular to thin prismatic crystals often found as spherules or sprays of acicular radial crystal clusters  

Accompanied by:

Alamosite, azurite, "bisbeeite" ( a variety of chrysocolla), luddenite, fornacite , cerussite, malachite, limonite and standard chrysocolla

Shattuckite derives it's name from the locality where it was found, namely Shattuck mine, in Arizona, USA.

Shattuckite is a rare copper silicate mineral. It crystallizes in the form of fibers and masses. It exhibits pleochroism which ranges from light to dark blue. It is a form of plancheite.

Shattuckite is also found with other rare and/or attractive secondary minerals.
