Named after the Russian mineralogist, P. V. Jeremejev (1820-1899), who discovered it in 1883.

It's an oxide of  Boron and Aluminum with Hydroxyl & Fluorine. Jeremejevite is an extremely rare mineral.

Localities Adun-Tchilon, Baikal, Soktujberg in Russia and Cape Cross, Erongo in Namibia.
