Impressive balls of fibrous snow-white xonotlite were found at Wessels mine, associated with inesite, natrolite , datolite and barite. N'Chwaning  II mine has also produced xonotlite consisting of white, fibrous crystals. It should should be noted that in in 1995 needle like xonotlite crystals up to 20 cm long were collected at N'Chwaning II mine. These were atypical being hard and sharp and they could pierce your skin. These are the largest xonotlite specimens found anywhere.
