Chrysoprase has a waxy feel with an unmistakable color.

Once you have seen it you will recognise it again. It is translucent to opaque. It sometimes have a cracked look with uneven color distribution. It is found in South Africa and in Zimbabwe. It is similar to Jadeite and Smithsonite
