A stunning rare cuproadamite from Tsumeb. Large prismatic crystals of cuproadamite on a dark matrix. The crystals are in a good condition. I really struggled to identify this cuproadamite and might just be wrong in my analysis. I thought that it might be brochantite or even olivenite. I read that there is a continuace series that run from cuproadamite to olivenite which makes identification difficult. It is as one handles more and more specimens that you get more knowleadgable. It is also good to go to shows and see the specimens and discuss them with the dealers. In this way we learn to know more and more specimens.
